| Recently Southland Music's Famous
Bill Loos retired after 40 long years of working in the Music Retail
business. All who knew him knew that he was very dedicated
to SLM and that there was no better person to deal with for
their Sheet Music Needs. We at the store will obviously miss him
in the future and we wish Bill a very happy retirement!....That said it is a new beginning at Southland
Music and two great new owners, Jason Lamb and Dennis Malec,
have stepped in to carry on the service tradition that was set
in motion by Bill.
The store will generally be very much as it was, both staff
and service, but with some new updates. Randy Calhoun will
now don a new hat, along with being in charge of the Repair
Department and General Manager under the new owners, he will
also be the new head of the Sheet Music Department as well.
Bill has trained him well and he will be a great help with
finding those hard to get music pieces. Local Piano
Teachers will get the same service and pricing!
We will also focus more on our internet presence by having a
more user friendly Website and by utilizing
Facebook®
and Myspace
® networking sites for
promotion with the public. We will also be expanding into
several new areas including an "Open Mic Nite" in the near
future. We will issue these announcements when the time
comes.
